Rich in a history and tradition that stretches all the way back to its opening in 1936. With over 8,500 pieces that include both Japanese and Chinese paintings, sculptures, and handicrafts entrusted by temples, shrines, and libraries for temporary exhibitions. The museum also regularly alters its collections for limited time themed exhibits, and became a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2015.
